Behind every great game is an incredible team of volunteers who make it all happen! From running concessions and setting up the field to keeping score, working the chains, and cleaning up after the final whistle, our volunteers are the unsung heroes of our league. Their hard work and dedication ensure that every game day runs smoothly, creating an unforgettable experience for our athletes and families. We couldn’t do it without them, and we’re beyond grateful for their time, effort, and commitment to our players and community!
Londonderry Youth Football & Spirit Association is a non-profit organization that relies on the volunteer assistance of all its members. In a non-profit sports organizations the membership needs to make financial and time contributions in order for the association to succeed. The financial contribution is achieved through registration fees and fundraising. The time contribution is achieved through required volunteer hours.
To encourage involvement, we require a
$250 deposit check, made payable to LYFS to be collected on equipment pick up day.
THIS IS NOT AN OPT OUT POLICY, as the hours calculated for volunteer needs are based on the participation of all families.
Your deposit check will be held by LYFS & not cashed, as long as you meet the two following requirements:
1. Your family must sign up for all required hours by October 15th or the check will be deposited on that date.
If this happens, you will receive a refund check when your volunteer commitment has been fulfilled.
2. Your family must complete all required hours by the end of regular season play, at which time the check will be voided & returned to you.
Please note that checks will be deposited as a family donation to the Wildcats after the Londonderry Cheer Competition, if a family has not fulfilled their volunteer requirement.
Our goal is not to cash any checks, as we would like everyone to meet their volunteer requirements.
